The university is expected to open in September. A source in the education ministry said there were plans to open the university in mid-September or late September, but it was still in its infancy.

According to the source, since the university students are aware and open the campus, they will be able to adhere to the rules of hygiene. That is why this suggestion has come. But everything depends on the decision of the policy-making level of the government.

He said that in those universities which do not have residential facilities, class activities may be conducted while maintaining social distance.

Farid Uddin Ahmed, Vice-Chancellor of Shahjalal University of Science and Technology, said that the decision to open the university should be taken after in-depth monitoring of the current situation with experts before opening the educational institution.

In this regard, the chairman of the University Grants Commission (UGC) said that corona infection may decrease further by the end of September. Even then we want to monitor the situation further before making a decision like opening an educational institution.
