The administration banned ‘Rag Day’ in DU
‘Radg Day’ has been banned at the end of education on the campus of Dhaka University.
The decision was taken at a meeting of the university’s academic council on Wednesday (September 2nd) night, calling it an “inhuman, cruel and unethical festival”.

Deans of various faculties, departmental chairmen, directors of the institutes and more than three hundred members of the Academic Council were present.
In addition, the meeting recommended the formation of an ‘Ethical Review Committee’ in each faculty of the university. At the meeting, the faculties, departments and institutes were given approval to take the unfinished
examinations in an integrated manner following the hygiene rules and to publish the final results.
On the occasion of the centenary of the university and the golden jubilee of independence, emphasis was laid on the adoption of basic research projects and research publications.
