TMSS-IDEA Project (P-2)

Job Context

  • Project Title: Increasing income and nutritional status of smallholder fish farmers along with women empowerment through aquaculture.
  • Base Location: Bogura, but frequently field visit of project area of Bogura, Naogaon, Natore, Pabna & Rajshahi.
  • Direct Supervisor: Director (Program-2), TMSS
  • Supervise : Technical Officer- Fisheries, Nutrition; Finance and Admin Officer,
  • Field Facilitator & Nutrition Volunteer.
  • Employment Status: Contact base.

Job Responsibilities

  • Overall responsibilities of project implementation, management, coordination & communication with WorldFish/GoB offices/TMSS/local service providers (LSPs)/fish farmers/market actors related to project implementation.
  • Final reporting to WorldFish/TMSS authority, quality control, troubleshooting, achieving expected results within the scheduled time frame in accordance with approved action plan & budget.
  • Prepared documentation of project activities.
  • Collaborate with project lead and project teams to create, execute, track and revise project roadmaps, staff work plans and project timelines to meet changing project needs and requirements.
  • Meet regularly and work with project leads to plan weekly tasks for the project team and activity track those tasks throughout the week.
  • Work with the project lead to engaging project partners and clients to ensure project work is coordinated.
  • Collaborate with the director of operations on tracking progress towards grant/contract deliverables, managing staffing allocation and updates on project timelines.
  • Coordinate and/or participate in the planning and execution of special events such as workshops or in-person them meeting.
  • Minimum 60% field visit in the project area.

Educational Requirements

  • Masters in Fisheries/ Aquaculture.

Experience Requirements

  • At least 5 year(s)



Additional Requirements

  • Age at most 40 years
  • Minimum 5 years experience in supervising and implementing Fisheries/Aquaculture or related activities; Contribute to coordination with stakeholders and representation.
  • Proven management skill with national NGO, INGO or donor-funded project.
  • Computer literacy particularly in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Internet, etc.
  • Able to drive Motorcycle.
  • Experience candidate’s age is considerable.
  • Contributing to designing a strategy for aquaculture, agriculture market linkages and value chain.
  • Demonstrated success in project planning, staff supervision, financial management, program monitoring, and report writing.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and mentoring skills to work effectively with partners/clients.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including speaking and presentation both in Bengali and English.

Job Location



  • Consolidate 50,000/- per month.

Compensation & Other Benefits

  • 10,000/- Travel Allowance & 1,000/- The mobile bill will provide.
  • Other facilities will be provided as per the rules of the project & organization policy.

Those who have terminated by TMSS need not apply. But if any candidates leave the organization according to the rules & policy of TMSS and want to join again, he/she must mention his/her work experience with TMSS at the time of application.
